About the Branch:

The Microbilogy Branch is a basic science in medicine concerned with infectious diseases, the department teaches third year medical students general characteristics of pathogens such as bacteria, parasite, viruses and fungi, their mode of transmission, mechanisms of infection and replication cycle, prevalence rate of each pathogens, as well as mention the most important methods for diagnosis, treatment and how to preventing and controlling epidemics and outbreak of disease. Other tasks may include the mechanisms of immune response to remove different pathogens and other substance and identification of autoimmune disease and cancer development.


Objectives, Vision & Message:

Objectives:

  • To provide high efficient physician able to diagnose different microbial diseas.
  • To promote the development of staff by creating right environment and opportunities to develop their full potential through training or post graduate study with the rising number of students and the continued development of the department.
  • To initiate, promote, develop sustain quality innovation research protocols in Medical Microbiology disease in human body and our community.

Vision:

  • In Education: More professional among different Department in Medical College through Academic educate levels of staff and outcome.
  • In Research: A center of excellence for training and research in Medical Microbiology and Immunology.

Mission:

  • To provide a high quality education about Medical Microbiology and Immunology, communication, learning experience and team work skill for under graduate and post graduate student.
